ACHE (FACHE)
The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) serves as a professional organization that advances leaders and the field of healthcare management excellence. For students, ACHE can provide continuing education, networking, mentoring, and scholarship opportunities. 

GCHEG
The Greater Charlotte Healthcare Executives Group (GCHEG) serves the Charlotte, NC area and all other portions of Western North Carolina not so designated under another Chapter agreement. GCHEG acts as a local resource to promote the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE ) and the importance of membership. GCHEG officers are ACHE members and speak to the benefits of membership and involvement at the local and national levels.

CHESO
The Charlotte Healthcare Executive Student Organization (CHESO) is a chartered graduate student membership society for future healthcare executives from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. CHESO is designed to meet its members’ professional, educational, and leadership needs; to promote high ethical standards and conduct; while providing opportunities for members to learn from one another as well as those in the healthcare executive profession.

APHA
The American Public Health Association (APHA) provides members with access to the latest public health news and research, networking opportunities, and professional development events. 

NCPHA
The North Carolina Public Health Association (NCPHA) is an association of individuals and organizations working to improve the public’s health through political advocacy, public awareness, professional development, and the interface between research and practice. As a member of NCPHA, students receive leadership and educational opportunities, access to networking with public health professionals and advocates, access to scholarships and awards, and insight to employment opportunities through the NCPHA Employment E-List. 

MGMA (CMPE, FACMPE)
The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) empowers practices, providers, and patients to create a meaningful change in healthcare. It also oversees the Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) and Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE) credentialing board. 

MGMA NC
The North Carolina Medical Group Management Association (NCMGMA) maximizes the value and effectiveness of medical group leaders through educational programs, information exchange, networking, advocacy, and professional development opportunities. The Metrolina Chapter serves the Charlotte region.

NAHSE
The National Association of Health Service Executives (NAHSE) is a not-for-profit professional organization that promotes the advancement and development of black healthcare leaders by empowering the next generation of healthcare leaders today.

NC NAHSE
The National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE) is a non-profit association of Black health care executives founded in 1968 for the purpose of promoting the advancement and development of Black health care leaders, and elevating the quality of healthcare services rendered to minority and underserved communities. The North Carolina Chapter has a special connection to NAHSE, as the Tar Heel state is home to where it all began.

The American College of Health Care Administrators. (ACHCA)

Founded in 1962, ACHCA is a non-profit professional membership association that provides superior educational programming, networking, and career development opportunities for its members.  Guided by the vision that dynamic leadership fosters long term health care services that are meaningful, successful, and efficient, ACHCA identifies, recognizes, and supports post-acute and aging services leaders, advocating for their mission and promoting excellence in their profession.

NBPHE (CPH)
NBPHE’s goal is to ensure that public health professionals have mastered the foundational knowledge and skills relevant to contemporary public health. This purpose will be accomplished by administering a voluntary certification exam and maintenance of a certification program.

NCHEC (CHES, MCHES)
The mission of NCHEC is to enhance the professional practice of Health Education by promoting and sustaining a credentialed body of Health Education Specialists. To meet this mission, NCHEC certifies health education specialists, promotes professional development, and strengthens professional preparation and practice.

SOPHE
The Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) is a nonprofit, independent professional association that represents a diverse membership of nearly 4,000 health education professionals and students in the United States and 25 international countries. Its mission is to provide global leadership to the profession of health education and health promotion and to promote the health of society.

NCSOHPE
The North Carolina chapter, Society for Public Health Education, Inc (NC SOPHE) is a professional organization formed in 1965 to promote, encourage and contribute to  the advancement of health of all people.. Members of NC SOPHE are encouraged to also join the national organization.

Health Systems Management Association (HSMTA)

Students enrolled in the Health Systems Management major are encouraged to become active members in the Health Systems Management Association (HSMTA). The purpose of HSMTA is to give members the chance to improve and develop their professional skills through workshops, guest speakers, and through study groups with those who are also in the HSMT major. The HSMTA promotes leadership roles for the members through the various positions offered on the Executive Council.

Graduate Public Health Association (GPHA)

Students enrolled in the Master of Public Health degree program are encouraged to become active in the Graduate Public Health Association, a chartered student organization. The purpose of GPHA is to foster an environment that contributes to the enhancement of the academic and professional concerns, goals, and careers of graduate students and others interested in the professions of public health at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The Office of Undergraduate Research supports UNC Charlotte undergraduate students through undergraduate research grants and opportunities to communicate their research to others through multiple research symposiums, funding to national conferences to present their research, and research exploration events. Students can use their site to learn more about internal or external research opportunities.
