U.S. News & World Report: Predictive Analytics Can Transform Health Care
Making predictive analytics usable will determine the future of health care, experts said this month at the 2016 U.S. News Healthcare of Tomorrow Conference in Washington. The panel, Hitting the Sweet Spot With Predictive Analytics, was moderated by Mudit Garg, CEO of analyticsMD.
By harnessing the power of data, health care systems can provide patients with the necessary data to make informed decisions about their coverage. Currently, hospital staff spend a lot of time on data entry, and the data that come to physicians often arrive in several components, not as a synthesized file, said Dr. Michael Dulin, professor and director of the Academy for Population Health Innovation at UNC Charlotte/Mecklenburg County Public Health.
