HMP LECTURER

The Lecturer in Health Administration will: a) teach in our undergraduate and master’s degree programs; b) contribute professional service to the institution, community, and discipline; and (c) support the mission of the Department of Health Management and Policy (HMP). 

Qualifications

Knowledge of introductory and advanced concepts in health systems management and health administration is required.  Candidates must have a master’s in health administration or closely related discipline by August 2025 and a minimum of one year of teaching experience at the university level. Candidates must present evidence of teaching excellence and experience with student mentoring. Preferred candidates will be doctorally trained and have experience working in the healthcare industry.  We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in human resources, accounting and finance, leadership, operational management, or quality assurance.

Chair and Professor POSITION

The Department of Health Management and Policy, College of Health and Human Services at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The position is a full-time, 12- month position with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025. The Chair position will be responsible for leading and facilitating all aspects of the Department. 

Qualifications 

The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in Health Management, Health Policy, Health Administration, or a closely related area and be eligible for appointment as Professor with tenure. Consequently, a successful candidate is expected to have a record of successful undergraduate and/or graduate teaching experience, successful scholarship and grantsmanship, as well as communication, interpersonal, and change management skills.
