The new B.S. is Health Systems Management will represent a pipeline to the health workforce in our region for many students.”
The new program is the result of over two years of planning, review, and approval processes guided by faculty and staff at the department, college, university, and UNC system level. This program in Health Systems Management will meet the regional demands for entry level health systems managers as well as provide a degree for students who seek related positions in the health and human services sectors.

The program in Health Systems Management will require students to complete general education requirements and 30 credit hours of study within the major. The curriculum is built on the skills desired in all health care managers as outlined by the American College of Healthcare Executives. The Department of Public Health Sciences will offer outstanding students the opportunity to earn Honors in Health Systems Management.
