Rae hails from Fayetteville, NC. He chose UNC Charlotte’s MHA program based on its accreditation, offering of academic curriculum to include an internship and leadership development. The program’s emphasis on data-driven decision-making, quality improvement, and health equity align directly with his professional background in healthcare and his long-term career goals. He was also drawn to UNC Charlotte’s because of the close connections with major healthcare systems in the region, providing opportunities for hands-on learning and mentorship. In his career, he wants to focus on improving patient health outcomes through quality improvement, patient safety, and efficiency. He is driven to help organizations reduce harm and strengthen care processes. He also aims to contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance access to care and support health equity, especially for the veteran and rural population. He wants to help in shaping healthcare environments where high-quality care and safety are priorities.
